Great food and great service!! The atmosphere was great, too. The drip coffee was acidic kind, which I love the most. The trout dish was a great combination of different textures and flavors. I though would have liked it more if it was less salty.

I tried to get seat on weekends a few times and ended up leaving. Finally, decided to get there before open and we were the 4th in the lineup. Food was amazing and it was the best waffle I ever had. Also the side was very tasty. No wonder they are always busy.

Place was on a wait on a Tuesday for lunch, but I stuck it out and it was worth it. This chicken on toast was great, little more savory than the usual chicken and waffle and without the waffle it came out really fast. Chicken was great, the jerk honey was just a light touch of seasoning and was just right. This is one of the better things I've had so far this year. I wish I wasn't just visiting so I could come back and try the mushroom toast.

Wait is worth it! So far, the best food place in CANADA. Every time I travel to Winnipeg, I head to Clementine first, eat fried chicken, and then go to work. I don't mind waiting 1-2 hrs for food.

One of the best brunch spots I’ve ever been to! Modern but cozy. Refined yet simple. Just right in all fronts. In all honesty, the Braised Bacon Benedict was an absolute masterpiece. The bacon was unbelievable - a hint of maple, juicy texture, yet a light crisp finish. The eggs were poached to perfection. Hollondaise sauce was ample in both flavor and portion - delightful in flavor yet a lightness that never overpowered the main characters of the dish. A total class act! A big thank you to the lovely service team!

Clementine offers one of the best upscale breakfasts in the city. Every food option is refined in presentation and ingredient selection. Pick what sounds good, and it’ll definitely make you smile! The potato side was amazing - crispy exterior, fluffy interior, not greasy, and with a fantastic aioli! Beverages are also amazing! The iced matcha latte was perfectly balanced sweetness and richness. The ambiance is warm and inviting. It’s reminiscent of an old Quebec restaurant with lots of solid wood and exposed stone walls. Only issues are the wait to get in since this spot is so popular (there are no reservations, which is ok since you always have a shot) and the price which can easily be 30-40 per person. Overall Clementine is a top spot for breakfast if you want something special and are ok waiting an hour for a seat! Visit 2: Clementine again delivered on the elevated breakfast experience for a reasonable premium. Went for breakfast on a whim and was able to get bar seating with no wait at about 9:30 am. Tables were full though. Went with the weekly(?) special which was 3 sausage patties with pickled onion/celery, garnished with cilantro, and served with a side of sweet mustard. Of course, the official description was much fancier. But man do they knock it out of the park with fresh ingredients brought together in beautiful harmony. The rich sausage was balanced by the acidity of the pickled vegetables, and the sweet mustard added a playfulness you could control. Also had the Americano this time which was nice and acidic without being overwhelming - not sure I’d go for it again, but it’s worth a try. Overall, Clementine defends their title as one of Winnipeg’s most elevated breakfast/brunch spots easily.

Cute brick descent into the cozy restaurant for breakfast. The staff was very friendly and my mushroom toast was so flavorful. The bread was toasted and fluffy, and a generous slice. Very good stop!

The BEST breakfast spot in Winnipeg. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming and the staff each have their own unique personality and character to them. I ordered the Belgian waffle and WOW, it is to die for. It’s so fluffy yet crispy and the banana custard is top notch. I also had ordered the chia seed pudding which was relaxing and refreshing as well as a classic hot chocolate. The menu has a vast range of flavours to it all with the extreme quality and care into making the dish. The portions are just right for me and the quality of food surpassed my expectations. Our waiter Dru, was an excellent young man. He’s very charismatic and has a warm welcoming presence to him. He was great at letting me and my family take our time as well as act more as someone we knew for a while rather than just a person just trying to do their job. The perfect balance of professionalism and humour. I highly recommend this spot to those visiting Winnipeg or wanting something new to try. Will definitely be coming back, thanks Dru!
